TRIMONT

Confirmation has been a wonderful tradition at Trimont Covenant Church, we have noticed a failure to retain the youth that complete confirmation in our church family long term.  Our new plan will help build the routine of connecting with the church family weekly and digging deeper into God's word as a lifestyle and not a season in our life. Confirmation and Sunday School class will be joined as one. From their freshman year to senior year we will keep attendance, do the service projects and take a trip to the Creation Museum/Ark Encounter. Our Jr High students will be in the room learning along side us but will not be confirmation student's until 9th grade. 3-4 times per year we will ask the parents to come to our Sunday School class and participate in our reviews. If you keep your attendance up and participate in service projects you will get to go on the big Ark/Creation trip. Seniors will commemorate their commitment to learning and serving their Senior year in December before graduating on to a Young Adult class for the remainder of the year, this will help them start to build connections with other adults in the church.

Because this is new we will plan to make changes/additions as we work through the program. I am hoping for lots of feedback from studens and parents as we start this new Confirmation Experience.
